Subject Overview
Stage 2 Integrated Learning (Physical Education) provides students with the opportunity to develop their knowledge, skills, and capabilities through sport, physical activity, and coaching. Students participate in a range of practical and leadership experiences while exploring how sport and physical activity can positively influence individuals and communities. It combines practical participation and theoretical components, allowing students to develop important skills such as communication, collaboration, leadership, critical thinking, and self-management. This subject is ideal for students who enjoy being active, working with others, and developing leadership skills through sport and physical activity.
Topics may include:
- Sport(s) Participation and Performance. This may include sports such as volleyball, badminton, golf, soccer, and netball
- Outdoor Physical Activity
- Sport Coaching and Leadership
- Fitness Programming and Goal Setting
- Event Planning and Organisation
Assessment:
Students will complete five assessments across the following assessment types:
- Assessment Type 1: Practical Inquiry
- Assessment Type 2: Connections
- Assessment Type 3: Personal Endeavour
Cost:
This subject incurs a fee of approximately $70 to cover excursions including entrance to required sporting facilities.
Additional Information:
Students can not participate in more than 1x Integrated Learning subject if they are looking to obtain an ATAR.
