Work Experience

Work Experience

Workplace learning involves placing an eligible student with an employer to gain knowledge, skills and attitudes in the context of a real work environment. Workplace learning aims to build on the students’ schoolwork and career education activities to help them plan and manage their transition through and beyond school.

Work Experience is a valuable activity that will contribute to a students Vocational Education (VET) pathway and VETRO application. Work Experience is encouraged for all Year 10 students and is a focus of Year 10 Power Connect sessions during Term 2. Before students can begin their Work Experience, students will need to complete their Workplace Learning Agreement Form as well as their WorkPRO Work Health and Safety Training.

All relevant forms including a Parents and Caregivers Information brochure can be found and downloaded from this page.  If you are an employer and are interested in hosting a student on Work Experience, you can download the workplace learning checklist on the ‘Information for Employers’ button to see what requirements need to be met.
